Yuan-ti

Sapients resembling humans (in the most common, pureblood form) but with various snake-like features, such as scales, snake eyes, fangs, forked tongues, or, in the higher evolved, higher social class forms, like malisons, abominations, or anathemas, snake heads, snake arms, snake lower bodies, or full snake forms.

The ancestors of the Yuan-ti were humans, but they fell into the transformative worship of the Snake Gods. On Jesenreth, they control the Yar Kanti Islands, but live as citizens in many countries.
