View source for The Sunken Land

Formerly a small island in the southwestern sea, home to a civilization of [[tortle|tortles]] who denounced the [[akupara|akupara]], the Sunken Lands sunk about 500 years ago in an unknown magical calamity. But only about 40 ft. straight down, such that several of its cities still have round towers that rise above the sea in calm weather. It is unknown if the population was destroyed or was able to escape. Nowadays the towers and the undersea cities are plundered by treasure seekers and provide hideouts for pirates, and thus are occasionally raided by anti-pirate navies.
