A race of flightless avian [[humanoid]]. Though the spies, assassins, and thieves among them have given them a poor reputation, most are simple working folk, and some, like [[Topher]] are even noble, caring, and heroic.

Although they are related to birds, kenku have no wings nor capacity for flight. This is the result of ancient curse upon their race. Instead, they have arms in place of wings and bird-like talons for hands and feet. They possess bird-like features, with black and beady eyes and a long dark-hued beak. Head and torso are covered with soft feathers, a usually dark russet-brown color, while their limbs are bare and scaled like a bird's. Some say they resemble ravens, through menu consider this an insult.

Another effect of their curse is that they cannot speak, though they can perfectly mimic any sound they hear, even speech. Some use this to cobble together a language made of heard phrases in other's voices, or communicate through sign language.
