The country has a unusually large population of half-orcs, and some noble families are said to have a bit of Orc ancestry (or a lot). Because of the influence of the Dead Sea, on which no magic can function, magic is somewhat weak in and arcane casters are rare in Keshahsa (this for some reason does not affect any other nation that touches the Sea, leading scholars to speculate that whatever killed magic on the Sea came from Keshahsa).
