He is the equivalent of 55 [[alech_nor|Alech'nor]] years old (his people live to be about 120 Alech'nor years), and is a widower, his wife Peli having died last year of a disease he could not cure. The gods wanted her. His daughter Ka, the last of his family, was one of the hunters you failed to save, but he does not blame you. So it wasn't all that hard for him to go with you when King Rah commanded it, and maybe his old friend the king knew that.
