Sarborea
A large island of jagged peaks, barren plains, and sweltering jungles below the equator. A harsh and savage land of barbarians, slavers, oversized beasts, volcanoes, and dinosaurs. Much of Sarborea is ruled, or at least terrorized, by thulok_karn, a human male snake soul sorcerer, and his armies of lizardfolk and kobolds. The seat of his rule is the black_spire high in the Mountains of the Lash.
The only city on Sarborea is chumash, in the west and partially protected from the depredations of Thulok Karn by the Mountains of the Claw. Chumash is a cosmopolitan city founded and run by several ocean-going merchant companies. It is also a dirty city full of crime and dark magic.
In the center of the island are the Jungles of Humar, wherein live a loose confederation of primitive peoples called the seven_tribes. The warriors of the tribes frequently battle against both the unscrupulous agents of Chumash merchants looking to enslave them and exploit the island's resources and the forces of Thulok Karn who seek to conquer and slaughter them.
The many fantastical and dangerous wild beasts of Sarborea include giant dragonflies, saber-tooth tigers, giant apes, and Tyrannosaurus Rexes.
