Many different holidays and festivals are celebrated by the various societies of Jesenreth (Planet), including:
New Year's Festival (Ploi Drajit, Ketten Islands, other majority human areas): Spanning the last three days of one year and the first day of the next, this holiday is celebrated with public and private parties, is holy to followers of Aloo, and is banned in Fraib Smaria. See End of Year Festival.
Harvest Festival (Leftkada and many other rural places): Held the middle of the 8th month, after the harvest.
Dark Moon (Dnalor): Held on the new moon of the sixth month, this is a recognition of the darker side of fey nature, when scary things come through the Fey Crossing. They play pranks but do no real harm, and people dress up and play pranks with them, and also consume very sweet deserts.
City Lord's/Lady's Day (Ploi Drajit): This celebration of civic virtue and family falls on the 25th day of the 10th month, and is marked with street parties throughout the city and gift giving, especially to children. The City Lord/Lady always gives a speech, magically broadcast into every home.
