An asteroid in Bralspace home to a vibrant city of traders and scoundrels, formerly a pirate hideout but today known as the "Crossroads of the Spheres". Notable locations on the Rock include The Laughing Beholder, the former Kurghiz Mining Concern, Bral Dwarven Ale House, Curgric's Irons, the Academy of Bral, and Balic's Blades.

Shaped like a stout potato, the Rock of Brawl is roughly 1 mile long and 1/2 mile thick as well as wide, with the City of Bral dominating the 'upper' half of the floating island. The 'lower' half of the asteroid is dominated by the Prince's private structures, including his hangers for the Rock of Bral Spelljammer Fleet.

The Sly Brigand returns to the Rock of Bral

The edges of the Rock are steep and dangerous to climb, so it is challenging to traverse from one side of the asteroid to the other without using a tunnel to pass through. Rescue stations are placed along the edge to recover unfortunate souls who might fall into the gravity plane and begin to drift out into wildspace.

Fresh water on Bral is provided by Lake Bral, a huge chasm plunging deep enough to pass through the gravity plane. The lake is periodically filled with fresh water from harvested ice asteroids and is treated with animal cultures and waste-eating monsters to keep its waters pure for drinking.

Oxygen and food are produced by vegetation on the lower side of the asteroid. Most of the work at tending the fields and groves is done by convicted criminals as part of their sentence.

Also on the underside are massive vanes, enormous sails crafted from magically stiffened giant spider silk. The sails allowed the Rock to be steered slightly as needed in its orbit.

The Rock is ruled by Prince Andru, grandson of a pirate king named Cozar, but several other factions wield power as well, such as the noble houses descended from Cozar's crew, including that of Grosovener Pale.

Within the Rock of Bral are a mazework of tunnels and dungeons, the ruins of the asteroid's various previous inhabitants. These extensive caverns have never been fully explored and almost certainly hold ancient artifacts and monsters.
