But only about 40 ft. straight down, such that several of its cities still have round towers that rise above the sea in calm weather. It is unknown if the population was destroyed or was able to escape. Nowadays the towers and the undersea cities are plundered by treasure seekers and provide hideouts for pirates, and thus are occasionally raided by anti-pirate navies.
