A race of spider-like sapient creatures known as ruthless, xenophobic slavers and plunderers, hated in all known crystal spheres, and often plying their trade in Jesenreth Sphere and warring with the civilized peoples of the sphere and passing spelljammers.
Neogi are small eight-legged creatures with reflective eyes and a gaping, toothy maw that sits upon a long eel-like neck extending from a hairy, flattened abdomen. Neogi frequently dye their fur and tattoo their bodies, either as decoration or as symbols of family and rank.
Neogi travel through space using large spider-shaped spelljamming ships known as deathspiders, and, less commonly, lighter ships known as mindspiders. All neogi ships share a similar spider-like appearance. They almost always employ umber hulk slaves on their ships and as personal body guards and slave catchers.
In Jesenreth sphere, the Neogi most often prey upon unsuspecting merchant ships and the planets of Groajan, Fythia, and Loreelei.
