One of the four sapient, extremely old turtles the size of small islands which carry Tortle nations on their backs as they slowly cross the oceans, and are worshiped as gods by them. Akupara seem barely aware of the Tortles, or anything else, but will defend them if they are attacked, being capable of destroying entire war fleets with a single gulp.
Akupara Freenma
The second youngest of the akupara, carries the Tortle nation of Ulku on its back.
Akupara Luos
The youngest and smallest of the akupara, carries the Tortle city of Tunqe on its back.
Akupara Maeus
The second oldest and largest of the akupara, carries the Tortle nation of Okitt on its back.
Akupara Sidol
The oldest and largest of the akupara, carries the Tortle nation of Ta-Tata on its back.
