A range of tall mountains that runs along the western side of Itrefaulk. To its west lies the Elf nation of Dnalor.
The Citadel of High Magic is near the treeline of its highest peak, Mount Hulantea, in the north, and the nation of Ufrealor is partially inside its southern ranges.
The mountains themselves are mostly cold, wind-swept wilderness, with only a few isolated villages and towns, such as Aralia, Kydach, and Hergrau.
Common dangers in the mountains are troll, lycanthrope, and hag, and it is dotted with lost locations such as forsaken, ghoul-crawled graveyards, abandoned golem-guarded castles and ancient ghosts-haunted ruins, such as the Tombs of Ariande.
Fearful legends are told by many about the dark woods, such as the tragedy of the Lost Lovers.
Other well-known peaks of the Mountains include Shanafria, Boasbirg, Gael Fristenbirg, and Mountain Shagdar.
