Each god has his or her favored weapon, one he or she uses in battle and which embodies something of their philosophy. A cleric automatically has proficiency in the weapon of their god, and when a god's cleric attacks with it, the god's blessing on that type of weapon causes it to do an additional 1d4 damage of its type on a hit.
