The general climate of this southwestern region is temperate to cold temperate, with some areas like the Mediterranean. It is bordered by the Gnomish nation of technetium to the northwest, The Dead Sea to the west, an unnamed ocean to the south, the steppe-like Wild Plains to the east, and to the north by an unnamed region that borders The Client States. As the name implies, the dominant race in this region for millennia has been Humans, in several different sub-races. Human of all colors, sizes and shapes can be found here (and to a lesser extent all over Alech'nor). This area is also home to more kingdoms with well-defined borders than anywhere else on Alech'nor, as Humans are more diverse and territorial than other races.
