Male high elf illusionist wizard of Weshea, known for creating illusory entertainments. Recently, however, after his involvement in restoring illusion magic to the city, he has retired from entertaining and been temporarily appointed to replace the missing Jhaeros Vaegaran on the Council of Lords.

Telkir is tall, lean, and pale-skinned, with ice-blue eyes, steel-gray hair, and a long, angular face. He wears frilly shirts, cravats, high boots, silk gloves with many rings, a long gray coat, and carries a thin iron staff.

Telkir is asexual. His favorite drink is brandy. Vain, haughty, and egotistical, he is also brave, fair, and capable of great kindness, often spending his money on others.

Telkir was born in CY 891 to Olimara and Japhiel Telkir, who were both record clerks for the city bureaucracy. He enjoyed the usual elven long childhood, being especially fascinated by magic, illusions especially. When he became an adult at 100, he apprenticed himself to a human illusionist wizard named Sahlim Commel, and studied with the elderly mage until the man passed away. This devastated Telkir, as he was much closer to Commel than he had ever been to anyone, including his distant parents. Commel also inspired Telkir's devout faith in Qulphine.

With money left him by his mentor, Telkir purchased his tower apartment and booked his first public shows. These were poorly attended and reviewed, because frankly they weren't very good. Blessed with natural reserves of ego and unflagging energy, however, Telkir traveled, honing his craft with several renowned illusionists and creating some buzz in places like Ploi Drajit and Sablos with increasingly innovative, daring, and sometimes dangerous shows.

After decades abroad, Telkir returned to his home city in high demand by nobles and the wealthy, and soon became rich himself. A superstar, he squandered most of his money, and had to give more and more shows to ever broader crowds to cover his bills. Eventually be found a happy medium, enjoying many years of fame and success, until one morning the magic went away. After solving that mystery and returning illusion magic to the city, he joined, temporarily, the Council of Lords and became an adventurer. He was instrumental in freeing Halitaea Monmuth from undeath.
