Originally a crude pidgin to facilitate trade between races, Common Tongue has evolved into a flexible and subtle language capable of great beauty, combining the best features of the languages of tortles, humans, elves, and dwarves. Famous works of literature in Common Tongue include The Saga of Kalaman the Seeker, Death Poems of a Thousand Warriors, and Reluctant Loves.
