The Silence

A region of the north central Ocean of Nimran, oblong in shape but more than 200 miles across at its widest point. Absolutely no sound can exist or be made there. Things still happen normally, but make no sound at all, not the wind, not the waves, not speech, not the firing of cannons. Obviously a magical effect, but no one knows how or why it exists. It has been reported in the same place for more than 300 years.
