A mutual-aid organization of hunters, trappers, guides, rangers, and explorers, with headquarters in many settlements which border wildernesses. Similar to a trade guild, but normally more loosely organized, being lead by its most experienced member, who often style themselves a "Lord of the Wild," a pretension that is roundly mocked by more independent frontierspersons.
