Demi-gods
Quasi-divine beings who either serve, or are aspects of the full gods as avatars, manifestations, or masks. There are dozens of these, some only existing for a short time or a limited purpose, before rejoining their gods. All are immortal and of immense power, some have worshipers and may grant divine spells. Some demi-gods are former mortals elevated to divinity by a god for great virtue or service. This class of beings is called Heroes.
Some of the better known demi-gods include:
Lemminik, demi-god of wisdom, guidance, and conscience (Hephemia): the small voice urging to do the right thing, providing good advice. His symbol is the glowing candle.
Dimmu, demi-god of protection and defense (Desdera): stands up for the weak and innocent, protecting against bullies, abusers, and aggressors. His symbol is the golden shield.
Cuda, demi-goddess of beasts (Matemator): defends animals against overuse and abuse, and encourages their flourishing. Her symbol is the raised paw.
The Old Mother, demi-goddess of time and ageing (Raketra): watches over the flow of time and the ageing of beings, protecting the elderly. Her symbol is the gnarled walking stick.
Brak, demi-god of violence and aggression (Hrux): force of gratuitous destruction, ruin, and brutality, encourages beings to solve problems with violence. His symbol is the spiked gauntlet.
Xaaxx, demi-goddess of disease and injury (Ikbrix): spreader of plagues, prolonger of illness, preventer of healing. Her symbol is the suppurating wound.
