Grubar
Humanoid race native to Emmith and descended from dwarves. An unusual adaptation gives them a biological defensive shell which they can close by extending the chest shell up and the back shell over their heads and connecting the two. Their tribes control most mountain areas, and have the most metal weapons and tools on Emmith, which they occasionally trade.
Grubar PCs:
Ability Score Increase: Your Strength score increases by 2, your Wisdom score increases by 1.
Age: Grubar reach adulthood at 25 years and can live as much as 160 years.
Alignment: Most Grubar are Neutral, with some tribes being Lawful Neutral. Chaotic or Evil Grubar are unknown.
Size: Grubar are short and wide, averaging just over 4 feet tall and being very heavy due to the bone shell. Your size is Medium.
Speed: Your base walking speed is 25 feet.
Bone Shell: As a Bonus Action, you can close your bone shell, gaining a +5 to AC. It can remain closed for up to 1 minute, and you can do it Proficiency Bonus number of times per long rest. While it is closed, you have the Blinded condition, and are Immune to being Stunned.
Darkvision: You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Metal Gut: You have Resistance to poison damage and Immunity to the Poisoned condition.
Languages: You can speak Grubar and Trade Tongue.
