A roughly rectangular region of central Emmith consisting of Torad-zur and the Sea of Death on the east, the Wastes the Wudern in the center, the Sea of Dunes to the south, the Black Teeth to the west, and the Maelstrom to the north.
Several trade roads run through the Crucible, such as the Way of Ankilos and the Way of Hadrazan. Small towns and villages dot the Wastes around sources of water, including Tel Khahok, Tabashtul, and Mozm.
