Tynankrel
Drow city-state, also known as The Lightless City, located in the portion of the Underdark far below the Ketten Islands, ruled by the Queen of Shadows. Situated in a huge natural cavern, its spires, domes, and pyramids were carved from its blue stone. A wall surrounds the city, and a wide river called the Zillifar runs through it.
The city's army, led by High General Shulvallriel Coloara, defeated an army of ahu-nixta that threatened to conquer it, leading the victorious general to return and contend with the Queen for the right to rule, throwing the city into political turmoil when several of the leading matriarchs supported her and violence broke out.
This coup failed, however, due to the intervention of The Legion of Llandos.
Points of interest in Tynankrel include Mizzarel's Fine Cheese and Wine, the Planar Gate, Ninki's Archives, The Crossed Wines, the Hall of Spiders, and Gizreal's Pit.
