The poisonous residue left by the magic and weapons used by the The Lost Race of Emmith in their apocalyptic war. It appears as greenish pools of sludge, or as a green tint in things and people infected with it.
Zuag caused most of the mutations found in the creatures of Emmith. It also impedes regular magic while amplifying or causing psionic abilities.
