Galeb Duhr

Elemental earth beings appearing as large, animate (sometimes), vaguely humanoid boulders. The galeb duhr of Usk control its southern, stony beaches. Each galeb duhr has its own territory of between 1 to 4 miles, and they do not like visitors, even other galeb duhr, usually, save for periodic meetings called "tumbles". They are not overly hostile, however, and can be spoken with if brought gifts of stone or gems. They spend their time in contemplation or in "tending" the stones around them. They reproduce asexually and live for thousands of years.

To the very limited extent they have a leader, it is the mammoth boulder Old Pesko.
