Sapients usually resembling humans (in the most common, pureblood form) but with various snake-like features, such as scales, snake eyes, fangs, forked tongues, or, in extreme forms, snake heads, arms, or lower bodies. The ancestors of the Yuan-ti were humans, but they fell into the transformative worship of the Snake Gods.
On Jesenreth, they control the Yar Kanti Islands.
