Great Whales

A race of colossal, intelligent cetaceans, similar in appearance to sperm whales but much larger. The largest known examples were more than 130 ft. in length and estimated to weigh more than 250 tons. Often in unusual colors, such as green, black, and red. Swim the deep Ocean of Nimran singing songs of unknown meaning but great beauty. Have been known to help sinking ships and those facing pirates or evil ocean creatures, especially sea serpents. Said to communicate telepathically with humanoid creatures, though this has not been confirmed by sages. The Wable regard them as gods, something they discourage.
